INTERREG Europe VI-C Cooperation Programme 2021-2027 - Main Target groups and Beneficiaries

The main target groups of the INTERREG Europe programme for the period 2021-2027 are national, regional and local public authorities responsible for the development of relevant policies.

The target groups according to their legal form are local, regional and national public authorities/institutions and public law organizations.

Private non-profit organizations can also be beneficiaries under certain conditions.

Private commercial companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), are an important target group in the context of several supported specific themes and, where appropriate, are encouraged to participate in INTERREG Europe 2021-2027 activities. They can benefit from the exchange of experience, although they cannot receive direct funding from the programme as a beneficiary.
