Priority 1. Strengthening the institutional capacity for more effective regional development policies.
Specific objective: Increasing the institutional capacity of public bodies, in particular those that have a mandate to manage a specific territory and of interested parties.
The programme is structured on the basis of the specific objective of INTERREG "Better cooperation governance" (Regulation (EU) 2021/1059 on ETS, Article 14 and 15) - as a single and overarching objective of the programme. The focus on the specific purpose of INTERREG, implies that the beneficiaries can cooperate on all topics of shared importance according to their regional needs, as far as this falls within the scope of the cohesion policy.
